Leave and notice in Bahrain
- Annual leave: 30 days a year (2.5 a month). Paid on wage ÷ 30.
- Notice: At least 30 days.
If your employer ended the contract without letting you work the notice, the notice days are added as pay. If you resigned and did not serve the notice, they are shown as a deduction. For a dismissal for misconduct, no notice pay is added.
Before you sign
Ask your employer for a written breakdown and check each line against your payslips, leave record and contract. Your contract can give more than the law, but not less.
Work out each part
For the end of service part alone, with every step, use the Bahrain gratuity calculator. To compare rules across the Gulf, see the GCC gratuity comparison.
